Brooks plays a key role on Clay Residential’s Investment Management team, that oversees projects from initial development through stabilization. He is also responsible for executing dispositions and identifying new development opportunities to drive growth.

Prior to joining Clay Residential in 2024, Brooks began his career executing debt and equity placements of commercial real estate transactions at Berkadia, a Berkshire Hathaway and Jefferies Financial Group company. During his tenure with Berkadia, he closed over 100 transactions totaling $2 billion in capitalization on primarily residential assets across the United States. Following Berkadia, Brooks was recruited by former Howard Hughes CEO Paul Layne to spearhead the launch of Layne Property Partners’ acquisition platform. While with Layne Property Partners, Brooks sourced, closed, and operated over $100 million of infill residential assets in Houston, TX.
