Werner leads all aspects of service operations across Clay Residential’s expanding portfolio, including resident service requests, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and operational transitions. His mission is to ensure that every Clay home continues to reflect the company’s high standards of quality long after residents have moved in.

With over two decades of experience spanning new home service, construction, development, and property maintenance, Werner brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to the build-to-rent space. He began his career in 2003 as a new home construction superintendent. From there he moved into a building-to-rent property management leadership role with Camillo Properties, overseeing new home construction in Houston and San Antonio. His success there led to the creation of a new company within the Camillo Group called LCI Services, which serviced over 10,000 build-to-rent homes.

Before joining Clay Residential Werner also served as Director of Service at WAN Bridge, managing service operations for the entire Texas portfolio. Highly skilled at building scalable service models and high-performing teams, Werner plays a critical role in Clay Residential’s transition to in-house property management, laying the foundation for operational excellence and an elevated resident experience.
